This is when people LISTENED and followed dialouge.Talking pictures were still less than 10yrs old and a novelty.

Well the third act is what we have in most of the standard “two different people have to try to get along” comedies which is where they have their big blow up and have to find a way to reconcile so understandably there is a shift in tone away from the comedy but be honest the final scene where the walls of Jericho came down and Gable even had a trumpet that was cute.

Aw man, this is my favorite movie to watch while in my pajamas, curled up on the couch with cocoa.
I'd never even heard of this movie until college. I took this film appreciation class because--hey! we just watch movies! Saw this, fell in love with it. Now it's one of my favorites of all time.
Clark Gable is so sexy in this movie.
