I've Got Your Number - Great Film!

Movie girl: I actually love this film. I thought the one liners Joan Blondell says to fend off sex hungry phone repairman played by Pat O'BRian are hilarious!

I did not like the way he responded so quickly to Glenda Farrell. It is nearly hinted that when he is supposed to be fixing the phone in one place and disappears, Alan Jenkins, his assistant can't find him. Could it be that he and Glenda's character are getting together in the other room?

After that he is quickly attached to Joan Blondell's (wicecracking) moral character.

It is a cute pre-code and they did get married in the end. I like their interrupted honeymoon at the end, led by boss Eugene Pallette. His gravelly voice resonates as the film ends.

But one is left with a sad feeling about promiscuity in reality films from later. Usually I can't take those, but do settle for pre-codes who handle sex in a better manner. THis one is played for laughs, but the guy falls hard for Ann (Joan).

THe nagging feeling would remain; (had she known) would he continue his overly flirty ways with women after the wedding? No way to know!
