Amazing movie

Not that it's all that great. A good mystery. Interesting in that Bette Davis is only in the very first part of it.

But the film was obviously shot extensively in San Francisco and is an amazing travelogue of the city circa 1937. The Bradford mansion is beautiful and so close to downtown. And San Francisco itself looks sort of "half-finished", with large buildings right next to residential areas and developed ares suddenly becoming rural. I've never lived in San Francisco, but I've visited often and there are so many shots of the city that look allllllmost familiar. It's just really fascinating.
