I Just Saw 'Flirtation Walk,' On Turner Classic Movies...

...and I was instantly impressed! I recognized the young Dick Powell, of course, but I didn't initially recognize his spunky, ballsy leading lady. A quick glance at the TV listing page in the daily newspaper informed me that it was, in fact, the legendary Ruby Keeler! Unfortunately, the film soon degenerated into froth and folly and a typical Hollywood-style musical (think Busby Berkeley). In other words, DATED, DATED AND MORE DATED!!! What started out as something promising, ended in extreme boredom for me.
