Warner Home Video is supposed to release The Busby Berkeley Collection on DVD March 21, 2006, which will include Gold Diggers of 1933, 42nd Street, Gold Diggers of 1935, Footlight Parade and Dames.
shareI am looking forward to getting the DVD package containing this one. One thing younger viewers need to understand is that these movies were light frothy things, { yes, no-brainers} designed to give the viewers an evening of light intertainment, to take their minds off the desperate economic Situation, thousands without jobs and no unemployment insurance in those day!
shareLight entertainment should still be entertaining. Like "The Band Wagon", which has no better substance or story really than this one but is about 1000 times more entertaining.
