Her most lavish film in my opinion. Those hats with those beautiful plumes !

Agreed. When you see what people get away with today. I wish YouTube hadn't blocked the video too.

Mae's clothing, is this why she always did period pieces? She couldn't wear such elaborate clothing in a film set in modern times and I don't recall her ever being in one.

"I'm No Angel" is set in "modern times", and she still wears long gowns throughout, but in the scene where she is riding the elephant and proceeds to "tame" the lions she wears slacks ! Look at how high the heels of her shoes are though ! It is said that her famous walk was developed because of the skyscraper heels and long skirts, often with a train. Cheers.
