At least I think it was WWOR. I moved away almost 30 years ago, and my memory isn't what it once was!
Every year we watched Mighty Joe Young. It's just not Thanksgiving without him! I pop the DVD in every year....
That's so funny! I used to watch Son of Kong. I think Ch. 9 may have done an all-apes morning for Thanksgiving.
shareYes it was WOR 9. They did an all Ape marathon on Thanksgiving day and then had a Godzilla marathon the next day. I actually have a copy of King Kong from one of the early 1980s showings that I still watch every thanksgiving.
I also grew up watching WPIX and WOR. So I'll be watching my DVDs of Babes in Toyland, King Kong, Son of Kong and Mighty Joe Young all weekend long. They are holiday traditions for me.
