The Peddler

Just saw this for the first time last night, and fell in love with everything about it.

I especially enjoyed the performance of Gilles Margaritis, who played that crazy peddler trying to woo Juliette away from Jean. He was amazing, from his dancing to his silly song to his pratfalls all over the café. I found him almost as entertaining as Le père Jules, even though his role was much smaller than Michel Simon's. Pity he made so few films. I'd love to see more of him.

I need my 1987 DG20 Casio electric guitar set to mandolin, yeah...
