WTF!?!?!?!?

Was this film doing in a collection called "50 Horror Classics"? This film was not only boring... It wasn't scary, suspenseful or entertaining. If someone thought this movie scary, then they probably messed their pants watching Nancy Drew's Mysteries. I LOVE bad movies (read all my board comments!) But this film performed the greatest sin any movie can do; It failed to entertain. Bad movie!

Trust me,

I agree 100%. This film should not be in the 50 Horror Classics because it's not even remotely a horror film. It's a boring snoozefest. I couldn't finish it myself. It was one of only two films on that set that I hated, and it was the worst.

I guess I have the same 50 Horror Classics compilation. It was boring. The lead character..the reporter was not likable. The 20's and 30's women were cute..better than the 40's women. Luckily it was short I almost fell asleep during the movie. It was a detective story..not a horror movie.

I have that collection too. This film is conveniently on the same disc as "Swamp Women", also not horror and also boring.

I agree it didn't belong in the 50 Horror pack, but neither did "Metropolis" (brilliant film, but it's SciFi, not Horror). I actually quite liked this movie. I didn't find it boring at all. Rather hard to follow at first, but once it got going it drew me in. Love how "Pre-Code" it was, too.

I also have the same dvd. The Ray Bradbury stuff was good, but most of the Tales of the Unexpected by Roald Dahl was not actual horror. Not sure why they needed to label this "horror classics" when some are obscure and some are not horror.

Well I'm at this site because I saw this film on the same horror collection as some of you. When I read it at Wikipeia it didn't sound horr so I came here for comments and found that I'm not alone in my confusion. Metropolis??? What were these guys drinking and smoking when they compiled these collections? I also own 50 Dark Crimes from the same people and this is where The World Gone Mad should have been placed. Curious I juts now went to the DVD collection's website - and they do have a 50 Classic Sci-fi - two different collections. You can find it here: http://www.millcreekent.com

Somebody needs to be doing some quality control at this plce.

yes big time I totally agree, the only worse movie in the wal mart horror collection was the amazing mr x.. but this one is a close second no action , slow moving,, would rather listen to my hair grow.

are you going to bark all day little doggie,, or are you going to bite

I have the 50 horror pack with this film in it too. What I found humorous is the Internet Archives which states this film is a drama/horror. LOL - this film is far from being a horror film.

It's of the category of "Thriller". I have the same collection. It's in there because it's a Thriller. Both words share a synonym "shock". Thus, it's in a Horror collection.
