I love this movie!

I saw this movie for the first time recently and just caught it again today. I love it. It's an interesting story and stars some of my favorites: Gary Cooper, Joan Crawford, Franchot Tone, and Robert Young.

Other than Crawford and Tone, who worked together often, and were married, finding the others together in one movie was unexpected, surprising, and delightful.

There's also the love story. I'm a sap for a good love story, even one as far-fetched and over the top as this one. I'll always love this movie.

I saw it for the first time today, also because of the four actors you mentioned and I LOVE it too! It was strange seeing all of them together in one film. Such a touching moment when Robert Young says goodbye to Joan Crawford. He uses Franchot Tone as his "eyes", so he may gaze on her one last time. Also the scene where Joan and Cooper are saying goodbye in the rain when she tells him of Claude's injury...*sob*!! This is one that will be included in my dvd collection. Surprised at the low ratings!
