You can ask, but isn't TEMPLE DRAKE a Fox picture? If so it's unlikely to hit the TCM airways.
shareNo. It's a Paramount film, which makes it equally difficult for TCM to air. In fact, most of the Paramount films from this early talkie era are almost impossible to come by. You might find them on eBay.

Although TSOTD was a Paramount produced Precode, Fox may own it if it bought the rights of the Faulkner novel for a remake later. That's how Warner Brothers has the Paramount Precode version of Dr. Jeykll and Mr. Hyde also with Miriam Hopkins. There was talk of including this film along with THE POWER AND THE GLORY, HOOPLE, CALL HER SAVAGE, and some other films for a Fox Precode set.

shareIt's showing this Monday Nov,5 at 12:45 am eastern time. Its part of the Great Adaptation. All this month on Mondays and Wednesdays TCM is showing great novels that were adapted into great movies.

shareAnd I just watched it. Didn't really know much about it. Quite an interesting little film. I love Miriam Hopkins and, as usual, she is excellent. And 20 years before she played Mrs. Trumbull in I Love Lucy, Elizabeth Patterson still looked quite old.

I recorded it on TCM the day it was on, but watched on demand today & had to start from beginning because I paused to go add more ice & water & my roommate came home with our takeout dinner.
I upgraded a week ago Monday to new Comcast X1 & only one is full cable box, other two are tiny. I can't see TCM on demand in other rooms & called Saturday. We did some troubleshooting & master cable box has to be replaced. They didn't show up or call.
I had to restart it from the start & enjoyed Miriam's performance. I liked movie & rated it 9 Stars.
