I think it would be cool if Peter Jackson went and remade this, with Jack Black returning as Denham. I'd love to see Kong's son rendered in CGI with all that beautiful white fur! It may not be very wise economically, I mean as far as the box office goes, but I can't help but say that I'd love to see it!

I understand what you are saying. I wasn't trying to offend anyone, I was simply throwing out an idea. I'm really not that obsessed with CGI, I actually prefer somewhat older movies. My favorite films(the Indiana Jones trilogy) are virtually devoid of anything resembling CGI. I know that when "The Last Crusade" was released(1989) Computer generated effects were in their infancy.
I admit that I really enjoyed the effects of "Jurassic Park", as well as some of the computer effects implemented in the "Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition" in 1997. However I have a great deal of respect for the great variety of special effects techniques, and I've always loved stop-motion. On the other hand I've never held to the idea that a remake of any sort, or a colorization, or a parody, or a failed sequel could ever take away from the glory of a classic film.
I think Jackson's Kong stands alone as a very entertaining and well made adventure that in no way detracts from the greatness or originality of the '33 original. If anything, Jackson's film has made me appreciate the classic all the more. In regards to "Son of Kong" I was simply saying that I would personally like to see what a remake would be like. Even if Jackson remade "Son of Kong" it would not ruin the meaning or purpose of the original of the same title.

Well, if you all watch the production diarys, you'd know that they ARE remaking Son of Kong! Immediatly! They're also making another one called King Kong: Into the Wolves Laire.
(Tiffany) You mean you weren't going to ask me to marry you? (Chucky) What are you *beep* NUTS!
As much as I love Jackson's Kong, and thought it was a beautiful homage to the still-spectacular original, I wouldn't want to see Son of Kong touched--it's a cute little film. Let it be.
