Please Stop the Wall-to-Wall Music!!

The music in this film is a textbook example of over-intrusive, overbearing, endless music. It even starts before the credits roll at the start of the film and, like a bull in a china shop, it wanders though scenes knocking over atmosphere and subtlety in its wake. It later jabs the ears of the audience with overly dramatic emphasis at every emotional change in the characters on screen, like we should take notice, SHE IS UPSET AND LEAVING THE ROOM IN A HUFF (BAH-WANG!!!DUM-DUM-DAHHH!!!) Totally awful, like a Carol Burnett skit. I suppose they thought it was artistically stimulating. No, it was smothered in music. I guess the composer subconsciously wanted to smother Gloria Swanson. And that song? "I Love You So Much That I Hate You"!? Please.
