Covering Human Body With Hot Wax!!! SPOILERS!!!!

Just how preserved can the human body be when covered in wax that the wax melter thermometer showed reading 250 degrees and climbing? After a relative short time, especially in the days before air conditioning was invented, wouldn't flesh of any kind start to deteriorate and stink up the place even covered in a wax shell? Also there would be severe burns on even dead flesh.

The final scenes show a live person about to be waxed. This would definitely cause severe blistering as well as almost immediate death from intense heat.

Scraping off wax to expose a body beneath should have shown blistered flesh, not smooth life-like flesh under the wax.

I watched too much CSI in its various formats!!!
