Good Movie

I just saw this film on TNT. While you could have predicted that "fallen" woman Lilly could not have gone off with her true love Bob to New Mexico, I thought that George Brent cancelling his train ticket was rather strange. What was he going to do, lose his great opportunity for a job and hang around Lilly waiting for her husband to die? I think the ending would have been stronger and more tragic as he got on that train knowing that he was leaving Lilly because she has an obligation to her injured husband. After all, Lilly could have always found him in New Mexico if her husband bit the dust.
