Felt sorry for Oscar, fired hotel man who helped Annie

Even though he was wrong at the hotel to help Annie through the years with her letters, i wish he could have had something good happen for his kindness. It made her life in those years happier and easier, which made her daughter's life what Annie had always hoped for.

Yes, I felt he was just abandoned by both Annie and the film. Although she had earlier expressed concern that he may loose his job for stealing stationary, once he wa sacked for coniving to use the hotel as a 'post restante' (more than a little harsh..), focus was purely on Annie.
Perhaps the 'make it OK for him' bit ended up on the cutting room floor.
