I caught this movie the other day on TCM and one scene in particular caught my eye. At about 30 minutes into the movie, when Cagney's gang was selling the loot they stole, Cagney was getting familiar with Mae Clarke. The next thing you know Cagney turns his head and places a kiss on Clarke's left breast!
If this is what pre-code films are like, give me more! ;)

shareYep, saw that too. I even watched it a second time just to make sure. Pretty naughty indeed. Clarke and Cagney had great Chemistry.
shareNot only did he kiss her right on the nip, the movie also had the sound of a toilet flushing, and Cagney's character lived happily ever after in spite of being involved in roberies that resulted in a woman being seriously injured and a man being killed. Distinctly pre-code!
