This movie is hysterical. Decorated cells, complete with curtains on the windows and flowers in a bud vase on the sill? Silk and lace nightgowns? Able to roam free throughout the prison through unlocked doors? Slumber parties doing each other's hair and nails? Hoot value = 10

Ha Ha Ha Ha! If this is jail, sign me up!!!!!! Saw this on TCM last night and then saw what I thought might have been the real thing in the late 40s and early 50s......."Caged" with Eleanor Parker. I couldn't finish the movie because it was getting late and I was tired. Yet, I somehow think I saw this movie when I was a kid. Didn't the matron shave off Eleanor's hair ??? Nowadays, she'd be right in style.
