This is a story of how women ruin men

Kong was okay in jungle then he fall for white woman and it ruin his life. He could have made it far, but instead he dies worshipping this white woman. This is caution tale to men and sailors and show how clever people were in 1933.

Maybe if you don't kidnap the woman several times then things might work out better for you..
But, hey..it was men that kidnapped Kong to bring him back to the states for a freak show so there's also that.
Not a good example of women at fault for ruining men..try something else.

This does not change anything when you realise the purpose

reply

And what purpose is that?
Poor Fay Wray was the only one that had any empathy for the poor dumb ape.

reply

I disagree. I don't think she was into the gorilla the way modern audiences seem to think.

I still go along with my 3 year old statement...

I'll respond in three years from now.

It's a date.

reply

Correct, this movie is about Da Man ruining things for a regular guy!

Kong lives a good life on his island, eating human sacrifices and pterodactyl wings, and doing whatever the fuck he wants. And then some damn corporate suits come along, kidnap him, drag him away from his island and put him to work at a job he hates...

Incel take.

reply

Actually, if you think about the plot of this film completely rationally, and not as a projection of human fears and desires, what does Kong want with Ann Darrow? He can't be in love, an ape wouldn't find a human attractive and sex is physically impossible so...

He wants her as a pet!

Seriously, he's an old ape, last of his kind, and what do humans do when they're the last of their family and are old and alone? They get a little dog or another pet! And well, some humans have monkeys as pets, so why shouldn't Kong want a smaller primate as a pet, if he finds one that he thinks is cute...

reply

It’s about greedy, powerful people destroying nature and indigenous cultures. Duh
