Fortunately the trailer is available as an extra on the excellent Criterion release. Landis is featured in an interview on said release talking about this film with Rick Baker and noted monster movie fan Bob Burns.

I'm glad this is getting the Criterion treatment. "Island of Lost Souls" is an important film artistically and historically. It's also one of my favorite Blondie songs, but that's a topic for another board. ;-)
shareThe Criterion disc has some great extras. I especially loved the interviews with two members of Devo who discuss how this film directly influenced their signature song "Jocko Homo" ("Are we not men? We are Devo!").
