She barely moved her hips!

In the opening scene, the carnival barker is trying to get men to come in an see Tira, and he yells something about how she moves her hips "north-south-east and west" or words to that effect.

I was disappointed to see that she barely broke a sweat during her dancing. Also, what was up with the scarf? She kept holding it in front of her then lowering it slowly, as if we hadn't already seen what it was covering up.

She tells the manager how tired she is from moving her hips to and fro, but I thought her dance number was barely dancing at all. She should have lifted up the hem of her dress or done SOMETHING....anyone agree?
