This is the movie where Mae West says 'Come up and see me sometime'

Towards the end of the movie, when she's on the phone with Juror #4, and just before Cary Grant walks in.

The entire phone conversation is:

[Answers phone] Hello? Oh, Juror #4. Yes, I remember you. You were the one with the nice kind face. Mmm hmm.

Oh, I know you were for me. Mmm hmm.

I want to thank you for those beautiful flowers. They were lovely. And don’t forget – come up and see me sometime. Mmm hmm.

[Cary Grant walks in] Oh, ah, yes, yes. Alright, good-bye.

I'm no expert on Mae West, but isn't that like, a trademark line of hers? She says it one other time in this film closer to the beginning. I also just watched My Little Chickadee and a variation of it is there as well. Not to mention W.C. Fields says it to Mae West at the end of the movie, and it feels like that was a little wink and nod to the audience.

You're probably right, but I've also heard a lot of people say that she never actually said the line and that it is mis-attributed to her in "She Done Him Wrong", sort of like Cagney's "you dirty rat."

But when I saw "I'm No Angel" for the first time the other day, I clearly heard her say the exact line "come up and see me sometime". and had to come here (and to her main page) to document exactly where she says it.

Oh, I get you.

I just recently discovered Mae West myself, so I wouldn't know anything about any dispute over the line. But you're right, she says it word for word at the end of this movie.

She also says, "Come up and see me" to Cary Grant in "She Done Him Wrong," right before she adds, "Oh...you can be *had*."

I wish I could remember all her trademark lines from this film. I didn't get to see it all, but what I saw was great.
