Does anyone out there know the child actor that plays the older Bill. He has quite a bit of screen time and plenty of dialogue, but is not listed. Who is he?

I'm not even sure who that is. He did have screen presence.

He was great, as was the younger Bill. Very sweet kids.

The Ronnie Cosby credit makes no sense.
The younger Billy was perhaps 4 years old, the older was maybe 10.
Ronnie was about 23 when this film was made.

No, Ronnie Cosby's birthdate in IMDb is 1927, so he was 6 when this film was released. I agree he was good - a fair-haired child talent named Ronnie, wonder if that ever happened again? The older Bill, perhaps about 10, was also good and it's a shame he's not credited here. Great film.

The filmography in the new biography Wild Bill Wellman: Hollywood Rebel by his son, William Wellman, Jr., list the role as being played by David Holt.
