Dialog in this movie is hilarious

Love this throwaway dialog. Ptomaine's date is a woman with a very long nose and he's not pleased about it and says so to his companion. They use nautical terms to argue the point.

Ptomaine (Jimmy Durante): Mac, I don't care what you say. I'm not going out with her.
MacDougal (Eugene Pallette): Why, there's nothing wrong with her. She's got a mighty trim little hull.
Ptomaine: But I can't see past her bowsprit!
MacDougal: Well, maybe she's built for speed?

A bowsprit is "a spar (pole) extending forward from a ship's bow (front), to which the forestays (sail ropes) are fastened."
