Holy cow, are you kidding!!
So the police, led by George Brent, have Margaret Lindsay in for questioning with regard to the murder of her playboy boyfriend. All evidence points to her. Then her brother shows up at headquarters and some of the evidence points to him. So now the police are grilling the brother. For some reason, they are left alone in a room together for a short while (I think the police were going over evidence) but then the police are back in for more questioning. Margaret and her brother still insist they are innocent but do tell their sides of the story. The brother claims to have fought with the playboy and when the playboy grabs a dueling pistol (one of the evidence items), the brother manages to subdue the playboy with a gun of his own. The police ask where that gun is, and the brother PULLS IT OUT OF HIS POCKET! I almost fell on the floor laughing. The brother has been in police headquarters being questioned for a murder and all the time he has a gun in his pocket. I guess George Brent thought the brother was just happy to see him!
I did really enjoy this movie. It's a first rate programmer from 1933 Warner Brothers.
