Fay Wray Scream in Title Number?
the woman who falls out of the hotel room before Dick Powell sings in the '42nd Street' number's scream sounds a lot like Fay Wray's scream from King Kong, which was in production at the same time. Coincidence?

shareActually the OP is correct. It is Fay Wray's scream...but it is not from KING KONG.
It is her scream from DOCTOR X (1932), which was a Warner Bros film.
