Best Busby Berkeley Dance Routine Ever

I think this was Busby's best work ... ever. Incredible

I've been trying to think how much those sets cost. The waterfall scene with the Woodland Nymphs? It must have been hell to build and set up on the stage.

Yeah, Gold Diggers of 1933 is probably my overall favorite musical of that era as well.

This film's dance routines and the ones in " Dames" are my favorites. The one in "Gold diggers 1935" is also great.

Did the water scene require $1 million in set costs? I believe it did.

The entire picture, salaries & sets & everything, only cost $703,000.

$703,000 in 2014 dollars would be $12,782,919.38!

So under 13 million in today's dollars? I was curious what some recent musicals cost:

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007) - 50 million
Les Miserables (2012) - 61 million
Enchanted (2007) - 85 million
