Is it just me....

...or was this one of the worst editing jobs ever? Or was it just a bad print on TCM?

Examples - near the beginning of the film when it showed Gunner and Bucker riviting, there as a sudden jump cut to a closer shot of them. And in the theater when Bucker and Mary are watching a movie, there's a scene change on the film, but an edit to this film at the same time as the audience changes, too.

In any case, Mae Clarke looked great in that short bob hairstyle - just as she did in Parole Girl (1933). Wonderful of TCM to devote a whole day to this terrific and sadly overlooked, thorougly modern actress.
