Rod Serling's "Patterns" Is Similar To This

The boss in "Patterns" named Ramsey is ruthless with himself and his employees and jettisons any employee that can't cut it, just like the Kurt Anderson character in this movie. Both characters so have the same integrity in wanting employees who have the same ruthless intelligence and work ethic around them, even if someday they may become the boss themselves and throw him out.

I wouldn't be surprised if Serling based his 'Ramsey' character on Kurt Anderson.
