What does Jones say before he rolls the dice?

I could almost SWEAR he says, "Big dick!" Is it true or just my imagination? The only reason I ask is because it's too big a coincidence for me to hear this all three or four times that line is spoken through the film. -ha- If anyone knows let me know; it's been on my mind more than it should've been since I've seen this. -ha-

"TO US and our good fortune! Be happy! Be healthy! LONG LIFE!"

I just watched it over the weekend. Robeson and someone else shout "Big Dick" among other things ("Ada from Decatur"?) before rolling the bones. I daresay "BD" might've meant something else entrirely. Then again, when Robeson first enters the bar he says something like "Make way, nits." Anyone know what he meant by "Nit"?

-lol- THANK YOU FOR VALIDATING THIS!! I've been wondering on & off if I've been going crazy for the longest time with this! -ha- Yeah, IDK, apparently that film wasn't noticed by the Hays' Code peeps.

-lol- That's awesome-----all I know is that I'm gonna quote him any time I play Yahtzee now.

People are idiots.

I have a feeling this wasn't subject to censorship. But apparently it is normal slang for rolling a 10...I guess 12 already had a name. Personally, I feel it is much more classy to call out "beaver dice!" while rolling

Well said!

"Rock bottom is a college education."

The phrase is "eight-er from Decatur," for a roll of eight.

Helga, I'm not mad at you; I'm mad at the dirt.
