Funniest moment?

I generally like the Marxs' comedy, though I think sometimes their routines can seem a bit laboured, but for me the funniest single moment in this film by a clear mile was the scene where Harpo is trying to crack what he thinks is the safe and after turning the dial this way and that it turns out to be the radio, which comes blaring on. I literally had tears in my eyes and was still laughing the next day.

"That, - Captain Bligh, - that is the thing; - I am in hell, sir - I am in hell."

So many, but one to mention is when the Firefly is getting ready to meet the ambassador, and extend his hand for peace.... but what if he doesn't accept my gesture, etc. What a great metaphor for the Middle East, where I live.

The mirror scene: Groucho whirls around, and Harpo...PRETENDS to whirl around!

I love Grouchos performance of the song about ten minutes in, the one that starts "These are the laws of my administration" and ends with him singing about propping people up against the wall and "pop goes the weasel". The satire of the song is brilliant, but groucho's conifdence in his delivery, and his preening around the stage make me laugh every time. He sings of banning whistling and chewing, and does both, and he ends up with his trousers rolled up, doing a parody of the opera!

Most of his scenes are great, but I particularly love this one.

Caught me off guard when Zeppo (?) walks into the room just after Harpo has left and Zeppo's hat is cut in half.

During the war, Groucho had on a different style of uniform every so often. I just made me laugh and laugh. I have no idea why.
