Dr. Verney's High Class Roadster

I wish I could figure out the brand of automobile Dr. Bull's old coupe is. Whenever I see an old-time country doctor driving a 1920s or early 30s car I think it might be a Franklin, but don't know the marque well enough to identify it positively.

Dr. Verney's high class roadster is almost certainly a Duesenberg Model J, much like the one Ginger Rogers drove in "The Gay Divorcee". It's not impossible that it was the very same car, as only a few hundred of these very expensive cars were ever produced.
