Unhidden flamboyant gay moment...

at around the 37 min mark when Gilda walks in and promotes the play to the obviously gay British producer......and she seals it with "you'll love it.....it's a woman's play".

Another pre code moment that would be censored if made later.

I didn't get that from the scene at all...

There's really no way NOT to get that from the scene in question......watch the producer's mannerisms and the way she accents that he will love it because it's a "woman's play" and the huffy reaction from the producer.......why else would she stress that and why that reaction if it was just a throwaway line?

I agree it was difficult not to get the flamboyant gayness of that scene in this movie. Panghorn was known for being a "sissy" or acting "prissy" as they called it in the 30's & the 40's.
