Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?

Has anybody else noticed the remarkable similarities between Jean Harlow's BOMBSHELL and Jayne Mansfield's WILL SUCCESS SPOIL ROCK HUNTER? Both are about blonde movie sex symbols who get all tangled up with a less than handsome man (Lee Tracy with Jean, Tony Randall with Jayne.) Both Jean's "Lola Burns" and Jayne's "Rita Marlowe" make movies that also happen to be the names of actual movies made by Harlow and Mansfield. "Marlowe" certainly sounds like Harlow and in BOMBSHELL Lola has an unseen rival movie sexpot named Mansfield!!
