I had never even heard of this film until TCM showed it recently. I can't believe what they got away with pre-Code. Just goes to show you don't need graphic nudity, they made Stanwyck's brhavior perfectly clear.
Her relationship with Chico was amazing, even though Chico was obviously subservient Lily seemed to treat her as a friend. Very interesting film, worth watching for historical reasons, and it's pretty good!
