How did they do that?

How'd they get Alice to "fly/glide" down the staircase, turn and reverse direction down the hall, make a left and fly out of the door? There are shadows of her body on railngs and floor, so I would rule our superimposing Alice, wires seem unlikely due to passing under a beam and the front door frame. It does look like she's swinging on a wire, but how?

Once through the door, Alice seems to have found an invisable slidie to come straight down at us, from a rather long distance, as she gets larger the closer she comes. She lands on the path with a little bump.

Does anyone have knowledge of how these SFX were performed? Or where to look it up?
They were pretty darn smooth. As was earlier, when Alice jumped from the mantle and floated down to the floor, at a rather odd angle, also in slo-mo. I looked, in vain, for any wires - a photo effect, perhaps?

It was FX like this that made me give a disappointing movie a 5 for Average. 6 is Above Avg, but I couldn't do it, too much of the acting was atrocious.

Whatever is not nailed down is mine. Whatever I can pry loose is not nailed down.
