From a child-rearing point of view, having the toddler find Easter baskets and to be given a live bunny right before bedtime is stupid beyond words. Get a child all excited, then immediately take away his loot so he can be put to bed? Maybe he was allowed to sleep with the bunny or basket that were carried upstairs with him, but unlikely.

I suspect anyone who takes child-rearing tips from Hollywood movies of any era will get exactly the child they deserve. ;)
