shareI doubt if the (very) young actors & actresses had any understanding of the meaning of the words they had been given to say. Adults watching the film at the time wouldn't have seen the implications a modern audience would read into it.
On the other hand, I doubt if the same could be said of the child actors in the Meaning of Life.
