Clip on YouTube, dedicated to Peg Entwistle

In an eery parallel to one of the themes in this movie, actress Peg Entwistle (Hazel Cousins in the movie) committed suicide a few days after this film was released. She climbed atop one of the letters of the "HOLLYWOODLAND" sign and leaped to her death, September 18, 1932.

So sad...she was very pretty. What a shame she felt like she didn't have anything to live for.

Thank you for sharing that. (I'm a few years late in seeing your post.)
It never made sense to me that she would jump because of her career. After all, this movie had been released and gave her exposure along with Myrna Loy and Irene Dunn. Not too shabby.
