General Tarzan Question

I thought I'd ask this here as I imagine this is the place Tarzan fans come.

As a kid in the Sixties my dad used to take me to a lot of Tarzan movies. One in particular has never left my mind - it centred around an Elephants' Graveyard but...it was in colour (so not the 30s one about poachers). I can still see the vivid ochre/terracotta colour that seemed to feature a lot.

Does anyone know which movie? It may not be a 60s movie as they used to rerun them a lot from all eras in our local cinema for kids' matinees etc.

Awight we're The Daamned we're a punk baand and this is called Carn't Be Appy T'day!

The elephant's graveyard starts in this movie. The legend is there's so much ivory there it 'can supply the world' and whoever finds it 'will have a million pounds' (British pounds sterling not weight of measure). The problem is the natives fear the place because they will be put to death. It's called Mutier Escarpment and it's where they're trying to go in this movie.

It picks up in Tarzan and his mate. They return for another attempt. I don't remember it being in color though. Maybe there was a remake but, if so, I haven't seen it.

Woman, man! That's the way it should be Tarzan. [Tarzan and his mate]

Many thanks Mdonin - I must have imagined the colour!
