Warren William...

Now that is how a ruthless 'Business Man' should be played. With this film and EMPLOYEES' ENTRANCE (1933) he set the pace that nobody has equaled. Michael Douglas's GORDON GEKKO is a wimp compared to William's 'Financial Monster'. It is the Great Depression and big or small he will sell them out ALL! I particularly like it when he after defeating his competition he calls them out as being YELLOW, spineless or any other adjective that suits his purpose.

Warren William was an excellent actor, with one great profile.

Thanks to TCM for showing so many of his films.

Too bad he died at just 53.

flan99; Fine character actor, especially in the 'pre-code' days. Another score for TCM, but was not the last day JAMES CAAN a bore. Did not realize he made so many 'bad' movies. The best one shown that day was ROLLERBALL and I suffered through it on original release!
