I have often wondered if the cigarettes were 'scripted' in this film? There is an awful lot of smoking going on and not a single anti-smoker complaining about it. I first saw this in 1977 and it has always been one of my favourite films. I don't think it influenced me to become a smoker but it's nice to smoke along with Marlene & Anna Mae.
