What is that over-dub? (SPOILER)

Just saw it again on TCM and about 1:25 in, Ann Dvorak is repulsed by Paul Muni after he shoots George raft and says, "You're not my brother! Don't you think I know?..." Then it cuts to a two-shot of her saying "Murderer!" but her lips are obviously saying something else. Something that seems to begin with "F." Or "Fa" because her mouth opens wide. Italian for FU? Can't think of anything that makes dramatic sense in that scene. Any lip readers out there? It's a key dramatic scene and they changed something at a key moment.

I watched that scene again, and at the moment of the over dub I turned the sound off, so I wouldn't be distracted.. and It looks like she call him ''Scarface''.. which I suppose would make sense, seeing that he just killed her husband and the vail of what he actually was ( in her eyes ) was lifted... Watch it again, and see what I mean. Hope this helps a bit. Slan Johnny.

Yes, she did say scarface originally, but over-dubbed it with murderer. The same thing happens at the beginning when the chief of police is going over Comontes rap sheet. He said 'Tony Camonte, aliases Cabrone, Joe Black.' But if you read his lips he definitely says Saceface instead of Cabrone. it's funny that the censors (I suppose) made them over-dub both Scarface refrences considering it's the title of the film! I sure would like to know just why they had to remove it. Hope this helps.

Probably because the REAL "SCARFACE" was still alive and active. At the very least, they could have lost a lot of business.

I do hope he won't upset Henry...
