"Rain" deserves to be restored/remasterd for blu-ray

This is such a great film that deserves better. I have more than half a dozen different DVDs of "Rain" all by different companies. And, the picture and sound quality ranges from pretty abysmal to pretty fair. My best quality version was recorded off the TV years ago and transferred to a DVD-R.

I wish a wonderful studio like The Criterion Collection would fully restore and remaster the classic "Rain." They could release it for the first time on blu-ray and put it in special packaging, and include some bonuses, too (vintage shorts, the original trailer, and perhaps a brief extra describing Joan Crawford's career in 1932 when this came out, as well as a commentary by film historians on the movie.) I am sure many fans would be very glad to buy this as soon as it came out, myself included.

VCI and the Mary Pickford Company are pleased to present Rain , celebrating its 90th Anniversary, in a stunning new 4K restoration, produced from the original release, the uncut 94 minute version from film elements made available by the Mary Pickford Foundation from the Mary Pickford Collection at the Library of Congress.
