The Old Dark.....Charming little 1920s California split level cottage?
Both the poster for the film, as well as the dust jacket for the tie-in book, feature the same image: a woman's face that might pass for that of Gloria Stuart, a mustachioed visage that might be meant to represent Melvyn Douglas.....and a house which looks absolutely nothing - nothing like the one seen in the movie.
At all.
It's a cottage which would be apropos only if the artist had painted seven dwarfs standing in front of it.

Is there some significance to the sweet little cottage on the poster that I'm missing?
