Number 17


'Number 17' is a solid, early Hitchcock thriller. Although, it does suffer from a messy plot and characterization. I like that scene where Ben tells the antagonists, "Yes, it's true! I murdered a man with a sausage!"

There's another scene where a cute English girl is dangling in mid air...handcuffed to a railing. She jokingly declares, "I fainted!"
She looks down at the floor...thirty feet below...and she really does faint!

When the double decker bus is hijacked, the passengers onboard are unaware at first. They just chat casually.

Your post is as disjointed as the film. You do point out some moments of interest, however.

Yeah, there were moments of charm herein; a few lines, some distinctive shots.
