Favorite Mummy movie/sequel?

What's everyone's favorite Mummy movies? Either in this series or in general.

As far as the old Universal ones goes, I'm torn between the original 1932, and The Mummy's Hand, because 1932 is creepier and more memorable but I feel like there's just not enough Mummy walking around.

I'm not a big fan of the Hammer films either, but I do say the 1959 Mummy is pretty cool.

I really enjoy the 1999 and Mummy Returns also, but I don't consider them horror movies, their action/adventure. Idk what do u guys think?

Not even close, at least for me. Ever since I saw this movie on TV back in the mid 1950's, I have been a huge fan. It has a special quality that will never be duplicated with all of the special effects in the world. The costumes, makeup, tone, mood, black and white filming give it a unique quality. I have been a fan of many mummy movies and sequels, even having some fun with the Brendan Fraser movies, but this movie will always be my Number One.

I like this one and the 1999 "The Mummy" equally.

The Mummy's Hand (1940)- 10/10

The original Karloff Mummy is the champ--and as far as sequels go, dare I say that The Mummy's Tomb is my favorite. I know it's not a popular opinion, but I love the dark atmosphere of the film and Chaney & Turhan Bey were terrific in their respective roles.

This one is my favorite by far. I think the best of the Kharis films was The Mummy's Ghost. Carradine and Chaney worked well together. To me The Mummy's Hand is spoiled by the character Babe. He's obnoxious with his constant goofy rebop dialogue. But really I like them all.

I enjoy the 1932 original, and the 1999 remake of the Mummy the best. They're very different films, though. One is a horror film , the other an Indiana Jones style romp

The Mummy’s Hand--great tempo and pacing.
The Mummy--way too slow pace, no real sense of fear or action. Even the more comedic up-tempo of The Mummy's Hand had more fear-evoking scenes than this.
The Mummy’s Tomb--a weak movie redeemed somewhat by it's final act, and especially, final scene.
The Mummy’s Curse--ugh

Other than that, I enjoyed the first two Brendan Fraser Mummy movies better than these.
I've not seen any Hammer Mummy movies.

The Mummy's Hand is also my favorite of the mummy films. There's actually a mummy in it, and he looks great with his black lifeless eyes. The original Karloff film is the most overrated of the Universal Classic horror films, IMO. You have a couple of unforgettable scenes, particularly the rise of the mummy and the excellent flashback scene, but beyond that a major snooze fest and "Dracula-lite" in it's story telling.
