I bought this today on dvd at Barnes & Nobles and was curious as to why it had Ray Harryhausen presenting this.
Wow Talk about building up the mystery and suspense.

I concur. This film was really well done, with a splendidly villainous performance by Leslie Banks was the wicked and depraved Count Zaroff.

Banks easily stole the show.
