Where's Mrs. Fu?

Saw this last night for the first time. What a hoot! But it made me wonder where Fu Manchu's wife had got to. Consider that the daughter was an opium-smoking, sexually voracious sadist, one assumes Dad had the most influence. I was imagining a parent-teacher conference: "Doctor Fu, while Fah Lo See reads at a college level and is far ahead of the class math-wise, her tendency to attack both boys and girls with her bullwhip when angry is making the other parents a little nervous."
