Note the plane crash in the water. They used a speedboat to rescue the flyer. This prefigures the crash boats/air-sea rescue boats used later in WWII to rscue downed flyers. Any other films with speedboat rescues or any with crash boat rescues?

During bombing training, Cagney takes his AT-6 too low while bombing a floating practice target, and it's hit by bomb fragments, shooting himself down.
He has to ditch the aircraft, and Cagney and an injured student pilot in the rear cockpit are rescued by a crash boat.
